In previous parts, I talked about some of the most common questions we vegans often get asked. From protein, calcium to cavemen and food chain, I tried my best to answer those questions.
In this part, I am going to answer 5 more questions which are most commonly asked of vegans.
1. Did you know Hitler was vegan?
This is one of the baseless information thrown at vegans to prove that veganism doesn’t influence kindness or whatever. But as far as I know Hitler was a vegetarian at the end of his life. But if you believe that veganism doesn’t influence kindness with just one evidence, what about the evidence against it? Socrates, Plato, Shakespeare( Even if he killed many characters), Buddha, Swami Vivekananda, Gandhi, The Dalai Lama 14th, Einstein, Henry Ford, Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg …
2. You can’t build muscles being a vegan!
If you have any doubt just please search google vegan bodybuilders. Frank Medrano may inspire you to become a vegan.
To gain muscle, our body needs more protein and a right exercise. Anyone can gain muscle if the focus on their diet and workouts. One just needs proteins, carbs, fats in the right amount, not someone’s butt, leg or liver to gain muscles.
In addition, it’s not about gaining muscles it’s about staying staying in shape forever, just compare Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jim Morris’s recent photographs.
3. It won’t change anything, I am just one vegan!
Well, you don’t have to be more than one. Isn’t it impossible to be more than one unless you have more than one fake facebook ids?
You don’t have to change anything except yourself. If you believe in yourself and take pride being vegan (Even you are the only one!) nothing else matters.
4. It is okay to kill for food, tigers and lions often kill in the wild!
Another pointless information. Same as like the cavemen! We are not wild animals. Wild animals eat meat because they have to; they don’t kill animals to prove their strengths.
Tigers or lions or any other animal which lives on consuming meat because their digestive system is not built for greens. They need meat to survive. But we humans in another hand can easily spend a healthy life by just consuming vegan diets.
It is very rare when a wild animal kills its own species, the don’t kill for fun. While we humans kill our own species (Whatever we follow the law or not follow it) and hunt innocent animals for fun.
5. What about if you are on a deserted island, and there are no trees, will you eat animals then?
It’s a very stupid question. I don’t know how am I going to end up on a deserted island [Do it get kidnapped and dropped there or become Bear Grylls?]. As you don’t have to wear a life jacket all the time to be prepared for tsunami I also don’t prefer to become a meat eater for surviving in an imaginary place. I would like to make a decision based on the situation than the prediction.
